Administered to Sister Alford, and prayed my Father to raise her up. Visited a widow, not far from Bourton, to whom I had sold tracts. Preached to her about 2 hours. Took some food she offered me, and left her feeling well. I pray the Lord that she may obey the gospel, and be saved in the Celestial Kingdom of God. Went to North Bruham, visiting some farmers on my way. Bore testimony, and enlightened the people all I could. Slept at Bro. John Rolls's.

Sunday. Held a small meeting at Bro. Rawlings's. Administered the sacrament. In the afternoon, walked to Evercreech, about 4 miles, accompanied by Bro. Rawlings and his son Edwin. We met Bro. Birch there. Held meeting out doors. I preached about an hour. Bro. Birch bore testimony. Pretty god attention. I thanked my audience and appointed another meeting there next Sunday. We visited Mr. Carter, who had married my cousin. He received us kindly, and offered us refreshment, which 2 of us partook of. They had heard me preach in the open air, and I gave them another sermon at the tea-table. Returned to Upton Noble. Rebaptized, reconfirmed, administered the sacrament to, and instructed, Bro. John Rolls. His wife, also, received the sacrament and instruction. Slept at Bro. Rawlings's.
